I just watched Green Room and it's definitely the sheer coolest horror movie I've seen in a long while. Pure adrenaline filled tension and the perfect amount of shock, nihilism and just enough humor.

The goal of /r/Movies is to provide an inclusive place for discussions and news about films with major releases. Submissions should be for the purpose of informing or initiating a discussion, not.

Green Room is creates more tension in film than I've ever seen. I wish I had watched Blue Ruin first but c'est la vie. There's not a more recommended film when it comes to horror/thriller.

Understanding the Context

I really like Green Room, but I absolutely love Jeremy Saulnier's earlier film Blue Ruin. It's not really a horror film, though it is full of tension, but everything in it is set up so perfectly.

A punk bad plays a gig at the wrong place, at the wrong time. Written and directed by Jeremy Saulnier, Green Room is his third film filling both roles. Good writing and excellent performances from Patrick.

Green Room (2015) - one of the best and most realistic and horrifying horror-thrillers of all time Ive seen this movie maybe 4 times and chose to watch it again last night. Goddamn this film is.

Watching Green Room for the first time because i saw it recommended on here a ton. This is INSANE. And also a nightmare situation. Ive never watched something where I have absolutely ZERO ideas.

Key Insights

Personal opinion, but I think Green Room was leagues above Hateful Eight. Hateful Eight was a mess and I didn't give a shit about anyone. People start dying and you go "eh". The Green Room made me.

I just want to say this is different than Green Room Studio in Chicago, which also is online classes but not with this Gregory James Blount fella. I had an excellent experience with Green Room Chicago,.

After the first 10 minutes you can exactly tell how it will end - Green Room on the other side is full of suspense, extremely grim in general and quite realistic (maybe excluding the machete scene).
